2016 La Chenaie Vineyard Pinot Noir
A fantastic mix of dark and red fruits engulf your palate when you taste this pinot. As the wine unfolds, cranberry and a hint of black licorice linger with the fruit. Soft and mild tannins provide a smooth and elegant finish to the wine. The wine is drinking delightfully now and should for another 10 years.
La Chenaie Vineyard is located in Eola-Amity Hills AVA and has volcanic soils – Jory, Gelderman, and Ritner. The site is influenced by the afternoon breezes from the Van Duzer corridor in the Coastal Range, as is much of the western portion of the Eola-Amity Hills. The vineyard’s elevation ranges from 460′ to 585’and has aspects of South, Southeast and Southwest. La Chenaie is farmed using sustainable farming practices, including organic and biodynamic disciplines.
